Originally founded in 1992 as a feminine Intimate Apparel design firm, Dare Fashions has grown into a small but well known retailer and wholesaler of moderately priced apparel and accessories. American Bikini Shop is one of the later additions to web merchandising providing quality products at low to middle-class spending limits. With 2 Warehouses in Michigan and Florida American Bikini Shop strives to provide a quality service with acceptable customer support. We at American Bikini Shop have made it our goal to immeadiately ship the product to the customer without the delays normally experienced with most other online merchants. We try to keep a fully stocked inventory that enables us to ship same day in almost all cases. American Bikini Shop strives to maintain a fully stocked inventory. We currently have 2 warehouses in Michigan and Florida to maintain inventory and to provide the quickest possible shipping of the items you order. We Ship everywhere in the USA 1st Class USPS Airmail for a non-refundable tracking and handling fee of $3.00. Orders are almost always shipped same day depending on when we receive your order! Please allow for up to 5 business days for us to ship your order depending on order volume and product availability. With over 12,000 items in stock we are constantly running short and replacing stock at the same time. This also includes Priority and Express Shipping. Orders are processed in the order in which they are received on our server. Packages normally arrive in 1 to 5 business days after shipping, depending on location. Please be aware that we use the United States Postal Service and that they are not perfect. USPS is still the least expensive and MOST reliable form of parcel carrier which is why we use them.
Orders are shipped with a return address label of American Bikini Shop. If you desire an anonymous shipping label then please email us at service@americanbikinishop.com at the same time you submit your order!
We also ship Priority and Next Day Air for those of you who want or need your package a little quicker. Please be advised that all orders are shipped in the order they are received including Priority and Next Day orders. We are fair to every one of our customers.

*NOTICE* Because we cannot control or make demands on the postal systems in foreign contries we are not responsible for packages to customers once they leave U.S. Soil. If you reside in a country with corrupt or incompetent postal employees then please email us on alternate forms of shipping which involve an additional $7.50 charge for insured foreign delivery. AGAIN we are not responsible once the package leaves U.S. soil and no refunds will be issued (U.S. Banking code) to foreign customer's whose packages do not arrive or are lost in their foreign postal system.

American Bikini Shop is a fully stocked Company with 2 warehouses. As a balance between cost and customer satisfaction we try to to keep inventory levels within acceptable limits. When we do run out of an item it is normally for only 1 to 3 days. The exceptions to this are when we have "runs" on a particular item and sell out faster than anticipated. In cases like this, you the customer will be notified of the back-ordered item and when we expect replenishment. You will be given the choice of waiting or to have your order refunded.

Our Return Policy is Simple!

If you order something and you just don't like it for ANY reason within 30 days of your date of delivery ship it back for an exchange or refund. Please read the following carefully.
1. For the health and safety of our employees No returns of worn items will be accepted. We understand that upon receiving your merchandise your first thought is to try it on to see if it fits before preparing yourself for that special moment or vacation. We encourage this. Please wear a liner on any outfit that has a panty bottom. We believe that you share our safety and health concerns and will take the time to try on your special outfit/s carefully. We are very appreciative of this. Our understanding of the term "worn" is that it has obviously been "used". This includes items that have been "washed". Any items returned to us in worn or washed condition will be discarded and no refund issued. If you are like most people out there and have taken the time to be careful and safe with the product then we are very pleased to accept your return or exchange.
2. There is a 10% RESTOCKING fee on all returns for a refund. We must charge this restocking fee as all returns are reprocessed and repackaged, to include cleaning and sterilization. There is no 10% restocking fee on EXCHANGES if you would like to make an exchange within the same catagory or line of product or just for a different size. There will be a $3.00 Fee if you change your product from Jelly solid colors to any type of prints, or Body Language solid colors, or knitted Cover Ups. There is no exchanges between Swimwear and Lingerie.
3.NO REFUNDS on shipping as that is a SERVICE and not a product. Since shipping costs cannot be refunded to us by USPS then they cannot be refunded to our customers either. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that we receive your exchange/return. We would recommend to send your exchange/return with delivery confirmation or any other protection service. We are not responsible for Carrier Loss.
4.NO REFUNDS will be accepted on OTHER COLLECTION (Vertigo, Apache and so on) and CLOSE-OUTS SWIMWEAR. We will be able to make an exchange only if the items are in stock. Please confirm with us for an exchange item before you send the item out.
5.SALE POLICY: Sale prices are valid within Sale week only. Sale items are shipped out upon stock availability. It might take up to 2-3 days to fill your order depending on the print or color. NO MATCHING PRICES from previous or future purchases.NO exchanges between Sale week items and non Sale week items. Exchanges are excepted only between the same category. All exchanges and Returns are sent at your expense with delivery confirmation or any other protection in delivery service. Notice to Foreign Customers. Because of the expensive cost of shipping products to foreign nations the same shipping rules apply on exchanges. There is a $7.50 shipping charge up to 4 items and an additional $2.50 charge for each 2 items over 4. You can pay this charge by going to our payment page. Please figure up your shipping costs then subtract $2.50 (as this is added to every order automatically) and select the necessary "Buy" Buttons. If you have any questions at all about this procedure please email us as no foreign exchanges will be shipped without the necessary shipping charges paid.

We use paypal because they are an incredibly secure service. This protects both you the consumer and us the retailer. They are also the most widely used payment gateway on the internet. They also provide much greater protection for us than our Corporate Bank does.
Some people experience trouble getting paypal to accept their credit/debit cards. After much consultation with PayPal directly (as their help section lacks detail) we have determined that the primary reason for credit card refusal or delay is Billing information. What this means is that when you place your order with us and go through the PayPal payment gateway You will go through a couple of secure PayPal pages. One of these pages is for Billing Information. It is very important to enter the exact billing information that appears in your bank statement. If you do not the process will not complete. If your name is "John R. Smith" then you need to enter this and not "John Smith". This includes the original phone number you had when you received your card originally. If your area code has changed but your number is the same then enter in the old area code for billing. Everything has to match perfectly to the letter or number with what you originally used when you received your Credit/Debit card. Paypal assures us that if everything matches perfectly then the card will go through because when your card is processed your bank is queried and the information much match exactly.
After the Billing Information is the Shipping Information which is the only thing that concerns us at American Bikini Shop. Please double check your Shipping Information including the Zip Code. One digit off on your zip code means your order will take 3 to 6 weeks to get to you instead of 2 or 3 days.
If all else fails you can simply get a money order and mail it to us with a written order. It will only take a couple of days to get to us and you'll have your new items within a few days.

It is important that everyone realise what a size chart is. Swimwear can stretch up to 100% in some cases. Typically 75%, but what this really means is that the material will compress the body mass it encloses as it stretches more and more. If you stretch a swimwear material beyond it's maximum comfort zone then unsightly bulges can result. What this means for most people is that if your hips are 41" then do not order a medium bottom. Order a large. A medium will fit but unless you have very good skin and muscle tone, then those unslightly bulges will probably result.

Our swimwear is made from high quality fabrics. All prints are fully saturated for durability and high definition and long-term wearability. Our solid colors are triple-dip dyed for full and long lasting color retention. We use an Industry Standard mix in our swimwear material which is comprised of 84% nylon and 16% Lycra (Spandex). All seams in our swimwear are either double or quadruple sewn. This ensures that your swimwear will last a long long time with proper care. Our swimwear is also fully lined with a fine soft 110 threads per inch white liner. The exceptions to the liner are the Micro Thong and Micro Mesh Sets.

It is important to take proper care of your swimwear if you wish it to last it's normal lifespan. Follow these simple care tips and you will get plenty of life from your swimwear.
Always HAND WASH your swimwear as soon as you take it off in cool or cold water with a mild hand soap or a very mild detergent made for delicate fabrics. Do not soak for extended periods.
Never Dry Clean Swimwear.
Never Ever Use Bleach.
Squeeze out excess water VERY GENTLY and lay flat, preferably on a dry towel away from direct sun light. Long exposure to the sun will fade your swimwear over time.
Never Machine wash or tumble dry.
Never Iron your Swimwear.
Never leave wet swimwear bundled together.

Ordering from American Bikini Shop is easy. When you find a Bikini you like simply scroll down the page and below the pictures of the swimwear you will see a series of "Buy" links. Select the piece you like and please do not forget to select the size also. Then "click" on the "Buy" Button. clicking on the Buy button will take you to our custom shopping cart where you will be able to see your current purchase/s along with the handling and tracking charge. You will also see a reminder for foreign customers to select their shipping method. Once you have completed all your last selection and are viewing the shopping cart simply scroll down to the bottom of your order and select the "GO TO PAYMENTS" Button. Please fill out all the necessary field with the correct information and once again proceed to the bottom of the page and "click" on the "CONTINUE" Button. You will be taken to a new screen that shows all your information. Your order and your billing and shipping information to confirm that everything was entered correctly and to give you a chance to make any changes. If you see that any of the information has been incorrectly entered simply use your web browsers back button to go back and make changes.
